The Manager, Distribution Center (Lab) position is hands on and has full responsibility for the direction and managing the daily operations of both the Distribution Center and Supplies department. Main job functions are including but not limited to supporting both internal and external customers order fulfillment, order processing, inventory control, meeting financial goals, problem solving, prioritizing assignments, directing teammates, managing departmental budgets, preparing presentations related to key performance metrics , creating reports analyzing data, and teammate time sheets and morale. Must have the ability to manage multiple locations and some travel may be required. This position reports to the Director, Procurement (Lab).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Completes Distribution Center operational requirements-
  • Schedules, assigns or assists teammates in job functions, contributes to the team effort by producing results as part of the team and following up to ensure completion.
  • Trains teammates on proper and safe use of warehouse / Distribution Center equipment. (i.e. shipping systems, forklifts, pallet jack etc.)
  • Maintains a safe working environment by planning, inspecting and training teammates on proper use of equipment, receipt, transfer of chemicals or supplies and to be aware of any physical hazards.
Manage multiple departments in different geographical locations --
  • Maintain and continue to build a strong team by teammates by recruiting teammates using DaVita's selection process, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, disciplining, monitoring, appraising job results and celebrating success.
  • Helping, encouraging and growing teammates within the company.
  • Develops written standard operating procedures for both locations
  • Maintains budget for department
Maintains Inventory Control -
  • Conducts cycle counts and a monthly inventory counts.
  • Manages inventory with controls, processes, and reporting, correcting discrepancies taking necessary steps to correct.
Education and Experience

6-8 years experience

Bachelors Degree or equivalent years of experience
