The VFM Development Team is responsible for the ongoing management and continuous improvement of the Vendor Funding Management (VFM) system. The VFM system is a critical contract/deal management system that integrates all aspects of vendor funding into a single source; integrating forecasting, billing and reporting while maximizing internal audit visibility and ensuring compliance with adopted CVS accounting practices and SOX regulations.The VFM System Analyst will also be responsible for providing system support for business partners to resolve technical issues and identify opportunities for improvement. The analyst will also define, develop, maintain, and execute QA and UAT test scripts based on development timelines and requirements. This role is responsible for defect ownership from identification to closure, including escalation of issues and risks as appropriate to ensure VFM project development stays on track.

  • Coordinate with business users and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to resolve business questions related to system functions and accuracy. Design analysis and determine requirements, including the ability to assess and course-correct as necessary.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive test strategies, plans, and environment requirement checklist for manual testing. Confirm test approach and test data with relevant SMEs for development of comprehensive test cases.
  • Execute testing, identify defects, and work with development team to ensure all enhancements work as designed and satisfy acceptance criteria.
  • Continue ongoing QC testing to ensure a level of accuracy has been maintained by validating functions with primary users. Responsible for reporting, tracking, and resolution process for business application and process issues.
  • Create and manage a detailed schedule with key benchmarks to ensure project timelines are met and to effectively communicate progress to managers and business users.
Required Qualifications
  • Intense interest in learning new things and intellectual curiosity
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to conceptualize complex quantitative analysis and build analytical models using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work priorities as directed by supervisor or manager
  • An open and honest communication style that quickly builds trust and respect
  • Technical understanding of database structure and experience working w/ large data sets
  • UAT testing experience with Salesforce based applications
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and SQL to perform analysis
  • Track record of high performance
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Any additional tasks as required by the supervisor or manager
  • Travel- up to 10% of the time, as required by the business
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven ability to think creatively, work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
  • A strong understanding of retail merchandising basics and merchandising processes
  • Experience using SQL (or similar query language) for advanced analysis with large datasets
Education
  • BA or BS degree in Finance, Mathematics and/or other quantitative analytical degree
  • Masters preferred

The typical pay range for this role is:$46,988.00 - $112,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
