The Staff Cloud Security Engineer, Data Protection, is a pivotal member of the Data Integration Team and the Information & Technology Solutions organization and will play a crucial role in safeguarding the digital information assets of one of the largest pharmacy chains in the United States. This position is primarily focused on Data in Motion and Data in Use (DIM and DIU), encompassing both cloud and on-premises compute environments (hybrid model). As Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will collaborate horizontally and vertically with various technical teams, business units, and leadership, to provide world class data protection solutions for our customers data. - Work closely with the business to define strategic vision and roadmaps
- Lead the design, consulting, and maturing efforts for next generation data protection capabilities leveraging frameworks and technology such as DLP, CASB, Proxy, Encryption, and Zero Trust to secure data in transit across hybrid environments
- Mature and expand security policies and rules sets
- Leverage and develop dashboards, and metrics to provide insight into tool effectiveness
- Provide subject matter expertise for security projects including mergers and acquisition activities
- Perform continuous improvement on tool suites, rules sets and policies to incorporate lessons learned and best practices for emerging threats
- Develop understanding of the needs and requirements of the organization, utilizing a risk-based approach to implement best practices for data security and minimize risk of loss
- Continuously drive a simplified and consistent user experience, preventing downtime and building trust between the end user and business partners
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) for operational outages
- Champion data security activities with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, operations and developers, to ensure security is integrated into operational processes and system monitoring.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Data protection best practices
- 7+ years of experience of deploying and supporting Data Protection Technologies
- 5+ years of experience with Zscaler, Microsoft Purview (Security), Symantec DLP(Broadcom)
- 5+ Years of experience: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Service (AWS)
- 5+ years' experience with SASE, Zero Trust and Conditional Access frameworks and architecture
- 3+ years' experience with Email Architecture, Firewalls, Network Engineering, Encryption and SSL
- 3+ years' experience with Regular Expression (Regex), Splunk, Chronical and Microsoft Power BI,
- Experience in designing and implementing Data Security in multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
- Proven experience leading security engineering projects and integrations demonstrating hands-on project contributions and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to provide off hours and weekend support with short notice

The typical pay range for this role is:$130,295.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
