The Sr. Analyst, Process Excellence will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing data-driven insights to support the Operational Excellence Program. This role will work closely with the Process Excellence Managers (Green, Black, and Yellow Belts), Program Manager, and leadership teams to track root cause analysis (RCA) outcomes, operational efficiency improvements, and compliance trends. The analyst will design executive dashboards, operational scorecards, and reports to ensure real-time visibility into issue resolution, process performance, and governance outcomes. - Design and maintain interactive dashboards tracking RCA submissions, resolutions, and process improvement metrics.
- Develop executive-level reports summarizing RCA trends, compliance risks, and operational inefficiencies.
- Create data visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to support leadership decision-making.
- Establish performance tracking frameworks for compliance adherence, operational efficiency, and RCA outcomes.
- Monitor and analyze audit results, process improvement initiatives, and workforce performance metrics.
- Work with Quality & Audit and COE teams to ensure alignment on success metrics.
- Provide quantitative support for RCA investigations, identifying patterns and trends in audit failures, operational errors, and clinical decision-making issues.
- Conduct trend analysis on issue submissions, RCA resolutions, and process breakdowns to pinpoint systemic problems.
- Collaborate with Process Excellence Managers to define data-driven solutions for process optimization.
- Assist in preparing materials for bi-weekly VP/SVP issue escalation calls and monthly Quality & Audit Review Board meetings.
- Support the Program Manager in maintaining reporting cadences and governance documentation.
- Provide ad hoc data analysis for executive leadership to support decision-making.
Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience in reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence.
- Experience working in payer healthcare, Utilization Management (UM), Care Management (CM), or clinical operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of compliance and quality reporting requirements (CMS, NCQA, URAC, payer performance metrics).
- Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel (advanced), or other reporting tools.
- Experience with data visualization, trend analysis, and KPI development.
- Strong analytical background with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into business insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to executives and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple reporting projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with payer healthcare data, UM/CM performance tracking, or regulatory compliance metrics.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, RCA frameworks).
- Prior experience supporting audit teams, compliance monitoring, or operational performance tracking.
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Healthcare Informatics, Operations Management, or a related field.

The typical pay range for this role is:$46,988.00 - $112,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
