And we do it all with heart, each and every day.Position SummaryThe Senior Associate, CVS Health V entures, sits within our Market Development team and is a highly visible role focused on driving strategic investments and partnerships, contributing to CVS Health's innovation goals, and maximizing the value we bring to the enterprise through our investment strategy. This individual will report to the Partner, Market Development and be expected to cultivate relationships with internal leaders, portfolio companies, and the external venture capital/ investment community, working to identify innovative solutions and investments that enhance the CVS Health business and impact the broader healthcare ecosystem.As a leader on the team, the Senior Associate will primarily be responsible for driving strategic partnership discussions and engagements across the business, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify, evaluate and support strategic opportunities. The Senior Associate may also be called on to source, evaluate, and support minority direct investment strategy and our "fund of funds" investment strategy, and will manage these relationships on an ongoing basis to achieve desired outcomes through individual company support and venture capital firm engagement. The Senior Associate will work in close collaboration with multiple Business Units across CVSH enterprise as well as Business Development/Enterprise Strategy, Corporate Development, IT, and Finance business units.The ideal candidate for this role thrives in fast-paced, strategic environment and can fulfill the following job responsibilities:

- You can lead and execute within a complex organization, driving cross functional collaboration across business and product teams, aligning investments with CVSH broader objectives, and guiding our Ventures' Business Unit engagement strategy.
- You can identify new opportunities and threats in the external market to help inform strategy of business units, cultivating deep understanding of business priorities and needs so you may deliver specific opportunities through partnerships, investments, or other strategic relationships.
- You possess an understanding of the healthcare landscape, early-stage companies, emerging trends and capabilities, and the venture capital community with ability to develop investment theses and present recommendations to senior leadership and investment committees.
- You will monitor the performance of portfolio companies and support their growth by connecting them with CVSH internal resources and business teams, providing strategic insights on portfolio performance and emerging trends/ risks.
- You will engage with startups, founders, venture funds and industry leaders to stay ahead of market trends with ability to articulate enterprise capability needs with external stakeholders and identify areas of opportunity with new solutions or technologies.
- 5+ years required of healthcare experience in business roles particularly in healthcare consulting, growth/ commercialization, business development/ innovation, and venture capital/ private equity.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Experience developing and supporting strategic relationships and/or investments (e.g., direct investments, convertible notes, fund investments, etc.).
- Strong communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence across functions at all levels of an organization.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in financial modeling and data analysis, valuation, and investment due diligence including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong presentation skills, with experience developing compelling presentations that distill complex data, market trends, and investment insights into clear, concise, and actionable messaging for senior executives including familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Validated project management skills with an emphasis on integrating multiple work outputs into a unified deliverable.
- Highly organized and able to provide positive leadership across multiple work streams in a fast-paced, complex working environment.
- Demonstrates high level of independent judgment and proactivity.
- Demonstrated collaborative work style with ability to work and across diverse teams.
The typical pay range for this role is:$130,295.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
