This position will be a part of our hybrid work from home/on site business model. Requirements would be up to 25% on site 75% work from home. This business model would take effect after fully trained/meeting expectations (minimum of 3 months). Training is held onsite at our facility located at : 105 Mall Boulevard Monroeville, PA. 15146.

As a Pharmacist in our front-end Specialty Mail Operations you will ensure accuracy of patient prescriptions, assess clinical responses to assessment questions, ensure drug interactions and clinical issues are resolved and perform prospective drug utilization reviews. You will substitute generic drugs whenever possible and appropriate and provide excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professional and internal customers. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Reviews and interprets specialty medication orders, ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and adherence to treatment guidelines.
Establishes specialized patient counseling and education on the proper administration, potential side effects, and therapeutic goals of specialty medications.
Confers with healthcare providers and insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and facilitate reimbursement for specialty medications.
Conducts most complex medication assessments, identifying drug interactions, contraindications, and potential medication-related problems specific to specialty medications.
Assesses patient response to specialty medications, evaluating therapeutic outcomes and adjusting treatment plans.
Educates healthcare providers on specialty medications, dosing, drug interactions, and alternative therapies.
Integrates with the multidisciplinary care teams, providing clinical recommendations and contributing to treatment decisions for patients requiring specialty medications.
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols in the handling, storage, and dispensing of specialty medications.
Stays updated on the latest research, guidelines, and advancements in specialty pharmacy practice, incorporating new knowledge into patient care.
Required Qualifications
Registered Pharmacist (RPh) License in good standing in State of Pennsylvania is required.
Must reside in the State of Pennsylvania
Must reside a commutable distance to our facility in Monroeville, PA

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$38.63 - $83.17
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
