Position Summary

The Manager, Health Services supports the Performance Management team within the Care Management Center of Excellence team, part of the Aetna Clinical Solutions, Clinical Innovation and Cross-Enterprise Partnerships Team. The Manager, Health Services assists in key business unit initiatives by leading/managing all aspects of projects and initiatives focused on performance management, quality and process improvement for care management programs.

Responsible for providing analysis, presentation, and other support materials within areas of expertise; and developing new areas of expertise. Develop relationships with internal peers, and cross-functional team members as required in support of initiatives. Supports resolution of problems of a short-term nature with moderate supervision and develops capacity to address mid and longer-term issues. The Manager, Health Services must be innovative and not afraid to challenge existing ways of working to continuously improve and enhance our care model and care delivery mechanisms.
  • Determines the effectiveness of clinical programs through data analysis, outcome measurement, and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Identifies opportunities for clinical quality improvement and develops strategies to address gaps in care, enhance patient safety, and promote adherence to clinical guidelines.
  • Implements quality improvement initiatives and monitors progress to ensure continuous enhancement of program outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Project planning experience with a focus on strategy design and implementation, program planning and implementation, preferably in a health plan or health care setting.
  • Agile, managing multiple priorities at one time, and adapting to change with enthusiasm.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully implementing change in complex organizations, including development of presentation and support materials to successfully implement strategy initiatives, program scaling, and change management.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in the utilization of Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and QuickBase.
  • Experience working across mid-sized cross-functional initiatives, with a moderate degree of complexity.
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience working with care management programs

- Leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Clinical RN licensure with a current and unrestricted state licensure.

- 5 years clinical practice as RN

- Experience with clinical documentation systems

Education

- BSN preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
