Position Summary

The Lead Solution Architect is accountable for the business solution designs for key strategic initiatives including (but not limited to) developing architectures that represent business, applications/integration, data, infrastructure, platform, and security architectures. In this role you will create solution architecture for key strategic initiatives including developing architectures and runways that represent business, application/integration, data, infrastructure, platform and security architectures, partnering with Digital, Data and Analytics, IT, EA, Infrastructure and Security teams.

This role will also require providing leadership, coaching and guidance to App Dev teams and developing PCW-applicable reference architectures for cloud-native applications to be applied to PCW apps targeted for refactor and optimization. The role calls for a hands on leader who can roll up your sleeves and help clear technical roadblocks for the team.

*This position is open to multiple CVS locations for hybrid work model.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years in design/development experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on cloud implementation experience
  • Best in class technical subject matter expertise and domain knowledge
  • SME level understanding of cloud design and architecture for one or more public cloud provider (Azure, AWS, preferably GCP) to deliver large-scale distributed solutions across the full enterprise stack
  • SME level technical skills in the following areas: application, data, integration and, security architecture/design
  • SME level understanding of APIs (Rest, GraphQL, and gRPC) and microservices-based architecture is a must
  • Domain Driven Design: Be able to map the domain scope to Bounded Contexts /Microservices
  • Experience working with technologies that work as glue between modern applications and legacy infrastructure leveraging streaming platforms like Apache Kafka
  • Experience in enterprise development tools and methodologies (XP, Agile) including DevSecOps and DataOps
  • Hands-on technologists with coding skills and proficient in modern technology stacks (Cloud, DevOps, Kafka etc.)
  • Understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies as well as Cloud database technologies.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience is a must
  • Facilitates adoption of cloud-native/cloud-first architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • . GCP Architect cloud certification is preferred.
Education
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field required or equivelant experience
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $284,280.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
