The architectural and engineering project manager will be a support to the senior project manager in working with the external consultants, collectively responsible for all project specific architectural and engineering design, drawings, documentation, and specifications (including architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, and environmental). This individual will need a strong understanding of design aesthetic in order to drive decisions with our vendors as well as work closely with the team to develop and maintain the CVS standards.This position requires extensive cross-functional coordination, strong communication skills and serves as a design resource for the business. Candidates must have a strong background in architecture, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and the internal CVS Health construction team. The successful candidate will have the ability to deal with ambiguity and show great attention to detail.Duties include but are not limit to:Design Leadership

  • Provides design review for the architectural design development and implementation of drawings for CVS Health facilities, including design development, construction / permitting drawings and specifications (mechanical, electrical, structural, civil and environmental) in conformance with CVS standards.
  • Responsible for creating & managing design presentation documents for internal leadership/stakeholder review and for external review at jurisdictional board and committee meetings
  • Collaborate with internal CVS design departments including: Marketing, Retail Innovation and Store Design (RISD), to ensure complete design concepts and collaborative results that ensure CVS Health brand consistency and project delivery across our environments
  • Incorporate lesson learned from pilots and completed projects
  • Support documentation of continuous improvements of design specifications, policies and standards
  • Be familiar with industry best practices
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders
Project team Leadership
  • Lead external Architecture & Engineering team, consisting of architects, designers, engineers, and support staff who oversee the production of technical architectural & engineering drawings
  • Participates on and/or leads multiple project teams as a Project Manager
  • Provides on-going communication through team meetings/minutes to the project team
  • Communicates with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants and other disciplines to ensure effective communication and coordination including updates through our technology platform (Tririga)
Program management
  • Collaborates with members of their aligned business team to support the businesses needs in requiring and clarifying project / program scope
  • Support new strategic initiatives to drive efficiencies, support business needs, and enhance the overall customer and colleague experiences
  • Provide budget allocation support as needed
Quality Control and Vendor Management
  • Provides vendor management support over our design partners. Oversight of the vendors include:
    • Quality control, soft cost approval, workload management, A&E training, permit receipt, construction documents and close out, SLAs/KPIs
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and zoning laws
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years' Experience in Design, Architecture, Engineering, and associated processes
  • A strong experience in a variety of construction types and a good understanding of construction documents, specifications, materials, and processes are required
  • Experience in reading and preparing Architectural & Engineering technical drawings and documentation of project design and construction document phases Excellent oral and written communication skills, design, and problem-solving skills as well as appreciation and sensitivity to architectural design intent and constructability
  • Experience leading teams and external consultants
  • Possess strong presentation skills with the ability to influence others, comfortable presenting at City Design Review boards, Planning commissions to represent CVS Health and the brand
  • Have a positive attitude with proven proficiency working collaboratively within a team setting
  • Have a strong work ethic and the ability to work efficiently and with accuracy while taking responsibility for own work and the work of their team
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Experience in systems and software including AutoCAD and BIM (Revit), Excel, Word, Adobe, Bluebeam, Photoshop and PowerPoint
  • Willing to travel 25%
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years' Experience in Design, Architecture, Engineering, and associated processes
  • A strong experience in a variety of construction types and a good understanding of construction documents, specifications, materials, and processes are required
  • Experience in reading and preparing Architectural & Engineering technical drawings and documentation of project design and construction document phases Excellent oral and written communication skills, design, and problem-solving skills as well as appreciation and sensitivity to architectural design intent and constructability

Education
  • Bachelor, or Technical Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Interior Design required or equivalent work experience
  • Professional License to Practice Architecture is preferred but not required
  • LEED Green Certification or other sustainability certifications is preferred but not required

The typical pay range for this role is:$66,330.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
