DESCRIPTION

We are looking to recruit several Warehouse Operators to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Operations department in Daventry, United Kingdom.

This will be a 24-month Fixed Term contract, with the opportunity to be extended.

Working hours: 37.5hrs per week Monday - Friday, with regular weekend overtime available, subject to business needs.

Will need to be fully flexible to work across the following shift patterns:

  • Days: 6.45am - 2.45pm
  • Afternoons: 3.00pm - 11.00pm

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Optimizing Warehouse Operations: By effectively using warehousing tools and methodologies, you'll help meet key metrics for both inbound and outbound operations.
  • Efficient Product Handling: Receiving, picking, packing, and shipping a variety of Cummins products accurately will ensure timely and correct order fulfillment.
  • Quality Control: Conducting thorough quality checks will help maintain high standards and reduce errors, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Your strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team will foster a supportive and productive work environment.
  • Cross-functional Operations: Operating within several business unit teams will enhance your versatility and contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and reporting any hazards will help maintain a safe working environment for everyone.
  • Continuous Learning: Taking advantage of the full training provided will enable you to quickly become proficient in your role and contribute effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Attention to Detail: Carefully checking incoming goods for damage and discrepancies, and accurately sorting, labeling, and storing items to optimize warehouse space.
  • Adherence to Procedures: Following established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly understanding and executing written or verbal requests for picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Being able to perform miscellaneous duties as required and adapting to meet business goals while maintaining compliance with HSE standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Requires certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet rider, etc.) and/or other heavy machinery.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionised agreement
