DESCRIPTION

Develop and deliver technical talent in the Engineering IT environment. Own and manage functional and technical process of a class-1 application which has direct impact to the revenue generation of the company. Provide problem resolution leadership for complex systems with a high degree of ambiguity and global business impact. Manage resources to maximize workgroup productivity in support of the needs of the technical community. Responsible for the configuration management of calibrations released to engine manufacturing plants, service stations, and within the company for research and development purposes. Ensure software releases are reviewed and completed on time for timely generation and interfacing of calibrations. Implement near term business strategies with a focus on execution. Lead requirement elicitation for new projects that align with application modernization and corporate goals. Help customer in defining roadmap toward future target state of the application. Drive integration of latest industry standards to the application. Lead the development and improvement of work processes and systems across functions within a global business unit. Guide the team with technical feasibility, solution architecture, prototyping, and testing, and ensure timely completion of enhancements and projects. Identify, understand, and correct flaws in data, improving quality and supporting effective information governance across operational business processes and decision making. Create, manage, improve, and apply work processes involving activities such as resource allocation and management, organizational and business change, customer/stakeholder management and knowledge management. Make informed decisions on resource deployment cost and timing allocations, project prioritization, personnel staffing and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Management. Establish employee performance standards. Work collaboratively to set goals and address areas of deficiency. Responsible for developing and managing standards documentation being used by engineers and other cross functional teams that are critical for preparation of software releases for Cummins. Manage the flow of knowledge, ensuring perspectives, ideas, experiences and information are available, using the required processes and tools to enable informed decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Positions require a Master's degree in Data or Information Science, Computer or Data Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience as a Technical or Systems Analyst or Engineer, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Data or Information Science, Computer or Data Engineering or related field, and 5 years of experience as a Technical or Systems Analyst or Engineer, or related field. Experience to include: Configuration management of calibrations; Elicit requirements; Technical feasibility, solution architecture, prototyping and testing; Data Quality; Resource allocation and management; Manage Annual Operating Plan (AOP); Develop engineering documentation standards; Software release preparation.
