Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Coordinator - Level II plays a crucial role in ensuring the alignment of the supply plan with the demand plan and driving stability in the supply chain. Under general supervision, the coordinator uses statistical analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and validated planning parameters to disaggregate the demand plan and determine optimal inventory levels to meet customer needs.

Quality:

  • Follow applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on system planning parameters (e.g., min/max inventory level, re-order point, tracking signals).
  • Take action to support Plan for Every Part (PFEP) principle.

Delivery:

  • Perform supply and demand analysis, highlighting areas of concern for the next 12 months.
  • Assist in gathering and compiling information through primary and secondary research.
  • Run planning parameter setting changes in a simulation environment, analyze the impact on KPIs, and provide detailed reports.
  • Monitor signals indicating abnormal demand or stock levels and adjust planning parameters as needed.
  • Enter approved forecast adjustments at the detail level to align with the aggregate demand plan.
  • Take ownership of the disaggregate demand plan, supply plan, and inventory plan to support customer needs.
  • Remain flexible and perform miscellaneous duties to meet business goals.

  • Materials Planning System Utilization: Use materials planning systems to manage supply and demand plans, taking corrective action on exception messages and alerts based on root cause analysis.
  • Plan for Every Part (PFEP): Apply PFEP principles to ensure the delivery of the right part at the right time in the right quantity, supporting smooth operations across the supply chain.
  • Inventory Management and Optimization: Use analytics and algorithms to determine optimal inventory levels, provide guidance on planning parameter refinement, and develop inventory strategies aligned with Cummins' goals.
  • Materials KPI Management: Operate based on recent or historical outputs compared to organizational expectations, assess gaps in supply chain performance, and balance trade-offs to influence KPIs.
  • Network Master Supply Planning: Use statistical analysis and collaborate with other disciplines to align the supply plan with the demand plan, balancing supply and demand to achieve financial and service objectives while stabilizing the supply chain.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Requires some work experience and intermediate-level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

  • CBU Aftermarket Part Availability: Manage and optimize aftermarket part availability.
  • CCC Inventory Optimization: Optimize inventory levels within Cummins Customer Center (CCC).
  • Last Mile Delivery (LMD): Ensure efficient last mile delivery to all customers.
  • Coordination Between Plant, IPDC, and CCC: Facilitate communication and coordination between the plant, Integrated Parts Distribution Centers (IPDC), and CCC.
  • Leadership: Lead and guide daily activities of 3+ contractual employees.
