DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities :

  • Drive Engagement : Build strong relationships with critical partners, including external suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders (e.g., Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering) to align on complex topics and influence positive outcomes for the quality function.
  • Industry Research : Conduct research to identify best practices, tools, and methods to enhance supplier quality performance and engage with industry experts to achieve Quality 4.0 aspirations.
  • Continuous Improvement : Identify growth opportunities for the function by applying business knowledge to ensure the proper implementation of APQP processes, AIAG tools, and Cummins specialty tools, driving zero defect outcomes.
  • Compliance and Governance : Set operational direction for enterprise-wide compliance with quality systems standards (e.g., IATF16949, ISO9001) and coordinate enterprise-level management reviews.
  • Partnerships : Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to achieve business objectives, support complex projects, and ensure successful resolution of functional challenges.
  • Leadership Development : Design and lead initiatives to create business results or enhance the customer experience using lean and six-sigma methodologies; support global implementation of corporate initiatives.
  • Functional Learning Strategy : Contribute to developing a functional learning strategy, including experiential learning, networking, professional associations, and formal training courses.
  • Team Development : Establish team capability through coaching and mentoring, providing growth opportunities for Supplier Quality professionals, and supporting their development through stretch assignments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience :

  • Preferably 5 years of experience leading relevant work within the automotive industry or a similarly regulated industry.

  • Supplier Quality Project Planning and Execution : Use APQP skills to create and execute quality plans that meet customer expectations, facilitating cross-functional collaboration.

Qualification :

  • College, university, or equivalent degree required.
