Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to drive growth in business cooperation between GE Power China/ASIA supplier base.

• Be the technical focal point for supplier activities directed toward process control and quality assurance of Power Generation components.

• Establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and requirements.

• Work closely with various divisions of GE gas Power to conduct First Piece Qualification (FPQ), Quality Surveillance, and Fulfillment management.

• Work with supplier on SDR submitting and closing, take the responsibility on RCA for key /critical quality escape and also the findings, to minimizes Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) associated with suppliers.

• Aid in supplier approval process - manufacturing, technology technical Commodity assessment (TCA), and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) risk analysis.

• Track and work on Request For Quotation (RFQ's) and new business opportunities.

• Drive continuous improvement of supplier's quality, cycle, and delivery performance through Lean /Six Sigma, or Hoshin.

• Work closely with GE gas Power Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and delivery requirements

Qualifications Required:

• BS/MS Welding/Fabrication/Mechanical/Power Engineering Degree or related background.

• Hands-on experience in supplier development experience, experience in quality or supplier technical development in the equipment/component of Power Plant is preferred.

• Familiar with the heavy-duty welding, Heat treatment, machining, coating, assembly operations and NDT.

• The working experience in power generation equipment (Gas/steam turbine, Generator, piping, pressure vessel, boiler, and hydraulic/fluid assemblies) from the Global company or the state-owned business is highly valued.

• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.

• Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills: background in interpretation of blueprints/specifications, metrology, and manufacturing process planning/evaluation.

• Ability to work in cross-functional, global team environment.

• Passion for excellence with high integrity, commitment to quality, fluent in oral and written in English, willing to take frequent travel.
