DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Senior Credit Analyst to join our team specializing in finance for our Cummins Inc. facility in Atlanta, GA .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Enhancing Financial Stability : By preparing accurate credit reports and forecasts, you'll help ensure the financial stability of the entity or region.
  • Risk Mitigation : Your analysis of credit exposures and credit-worthiness reviews will minimize financial risks to the business.
  • Supporting Business Growth : Providing credit and financial support to the sales/commercial function will drive key business growth initiatives.
  • Standardizing Processes : By supporting the standardization of credit management processes, you'll improve efficiency and consistency across the business unit.
  • Improving Reporting : Developing and producing detailed reports will help monitor Accounts Receivable performance and ensure adherence to credit limits.
  • Facilitating Communication : Encouraging cross-segment communication on credit issues will foster collaboration and effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring Compliance : Supporting the implementation of Corporate Credit Policies and ensuring audit compliance will maintain regulatory standards.
  • Leading Improvements : Leading special projects to enhance credit systems and processes will drive continuous improvement and innovation in credit management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Strong Credit Management Skills : Assess customer credit-worthiness and risks to support sales strategies while maximizing accounts receivable collectability and minimizing bad debts.
  • Proficient Financial Analysis : Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, opportunities, and risks, providing insights to stakeholders to drive business improvements.
  • Solid Financial Acumen : Understand and interpret key financial indicators to make informed business decisions.
  • Action-Oriented Approach : Tackle new opportunities and challenges with urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Collaborative Mindset : Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to achieve shared objectives.
  • Effective Communication Skills : Develop and deliver clear, multi-mode communications that address the unique needs of different audiences.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related subject required. Progress toward financial certification is preferred.

Experience:

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

  • Perform credit risk assessments on new and existing customers.
  • Must have financial acumen and financial analysis experience, including interpreting and spreading key financial data.
  • Ability to evaluate financial statements, analyze trends, interpret credit reports, and monitor industry trends to determine the financial stability of a company.
  • Responsible for preparing detailed financial risk assessments by analyzing financial data, evaluating risk, and making recommendations on a customer's creditworthiness.
  • Construction Industry credit experience preferred, with knowledge in mechanics lien & bond claims, private and commercial construction projects, contractual chains, ability to navigate through purchase order and contract details, understanding project milestones, draw dates, and pay apps/AIA requirements.
