We are looking for a talented Segment Marketing Specialist to join our team specializing in Marketing in Shoreview, MN.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Marketing Plan Management : Develop marketing mix recommendations based on the 4 P's (Product, Price, Promotion, and Placement) to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives. Guide cross-functional implementation and evaluate market responses and business performance.
- Translating Market Data : Collect and categorize customer voices and market information using appropriate research tools. Analyze findings to identify opportunities for delivering customer solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or related subject required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Minimal relevant work experience required.
- Knowledge of and experience using the four P's of marketing (Product, Price, Promotion, and Placement) preferred.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Be the marketing lead for the Water and Wastewater segment, responsible for understanding the segment dynamics, trends and requirements and recommends a strategic Cummins positioning for buy-in from leadership.
- Be the lead liaison between commercial standby gensets marketing team and Marcom team, ensuring quality and consistent outputs across variety of different marcom efforts.
- Support developing robust business cases for product and non-product initiatives that are supported and validated by market experts and insights.
- Documents and understands marketing and sales systems (Salesforce, Feature Code Usage, OneBI, Lead2Cash) and processes(VPI/LPR, VPC/LPC, IMP); collects and interprets customer satisfaction data; integrates Voice of the Customer into marketing plans.
- Supports Market and Competitive Intelligence gathering and driving clear insights that influence our 4Ps strategy by attending critical tradeshows and industry events, and continuous networking within the industry.
- Participates as a representative of Marketing on New Product Development project extended teams, ensuring project is supported via Sales Advisory boards that are consulted.
- Key team member supporting project management of initiatives, communicates plans, deadlines, and achievements to marketing leaders; works across regions with marketing teams to execute projects.
Additional Experience/Skills:
- Marketing, finance, business background.
- Power Gen market and product knowledge.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in the Power Gen/Industrial Applications (preferred)
- Marketing Management experience (preferred)
- Key leadership skills: Strategic thinking, managing ambiguity and uncertainty, driving alignment and constructively resolving conflict, leadership and stakeholder management and influence.(preferred)
