We are looking for a talented Production Support Associate to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Lakewood, NY.

Job Summary:

Performs skilled non production activities independently which support the manufacturing processes in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment and may instruct or coach others.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Ensuring Safety: By stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately, you'll help maintain a safe work environment.

Compliance and Reporting: Reporting any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards ensures compliance with HSE standards and promotes a culture of safety.

Environmental Stewardship: Recognizing how your work impacts the environment and working to minimize negative effects will contribute to sustainable practices.

Experience:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

• Attends and actively participates in all required training. Follows all Process Documents.

• Ability to run machines in certain operations in the event a shortage of manpower.

• Participates in A3 and preventative actions along with communicating quality expectations.

• Must be a trainer level for 75% of all machining operations on the line and independent operator on remaining operations.

• Participates in Quality Projects. Occasionally offers feedback for continuous improvement ideas. Occasionally helps to implement continuous improvement projects.

• Recognizes and notifies the team or individual of quality concerns via Quality alerts, ect.

• Ensures all posted Quality alerts are current in the respective areas and remove expired alerts as necessary.

• Meets team expectations for quality of work. Can identify key measures for area.

• Coordinates suspect/discrepant part disposition and flow.- Ensures rework is processed timely.

• Coordinates rework with process techs and supports gaging to verify effectiveness of rework process.

• Verifies accuracy of information on MES Tickets and Manages/Enters MES tickets into system.

• Provides communication to Team Managers of quality issues/defects to allow real time data.
