Production Support Associate - CNC Machinist

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Production Support Associate - CNC Machinist to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our OPERATIONS SUPPORT department in Huddersfield, United Kingdom.

This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, working 35 hours per week Monday - Friday across 2 shift patterns:

• Days: Monday to Friday - 7:30am-3pm
• Nights: Monday- Thursday - 10:15pm- 7:30am

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Setting and operating CNC lathes, Millers, Grinders.
• Setting and altering tool offsets / datums.
• Performing first off and in cycle inspection checks, using CMM machines and attribute gauges.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Demonstrates initiative and enthusiasm by tackling new challenges with urgency and energy.
• Effectively communicates and demonstrates ability to plan and deliver high level training.
• Ensures accountability by meeting commitments and holding others responsible for achieving goals.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specification.
• CNC programming beneficial.
• Previous work experience in a machine shop environment essential.
• Apprentice trained CNC machinist preferred.
• Previous CNC grinding experience beneficial.
• CMM operating experience beneficial.
• Robot/Cobot experience beneficial.

QUALIFICATIONS

The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionised agreement.
