Job Summary:

Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):

  • Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.
  • Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Promote interdependence by looking out for one another.
  • Correct hazards within your control and capabilities.
  • Recognize the environmental impact of your work and work to minimize it.
  • Engage actively in HSE training programs.

Quality:

  • Follow all standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke, and visual standards.
  • Identify and address issues to minimize cost and quality risks.
  • Perform quality inspections and control non-conforming materials.

Delivery:

  • Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products to meet customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate high competency in core work skills and achieve production goals.
  • Work at the required cycle time or as per defined engineering standards.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.
  • Perform operator care and maintenance tasks.
  • Remain flexible and complete other miscellaneous duties as required.
  • Collaborate with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to maintain and identify equipment requiring repair.

Teamwork:

  • Communicate effectively with the assigned team and support teams.
  • Complete training and personal development per business requirements.
  • Actively participate in improving quality, safety, processes, material flow, and employee development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate knowledge gained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in machining, including line installation and commissioning.
  • Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of jigs, fixtures, and tooling essential for machining operations.
