DESCRIPTION
Advocate for product quality and act as an internal champion on behalf of the customer. Responsible for the execution of all or a subset of a key process in the New and/or Current Product Quality space, such as PQC, GPRP, PPP, Value Package Introduction (VPI) or assessment process. In the Corporate function, lead improvement initiatives using six sigma processes including define, measure, analyze, improve & control (DMAIC) as well as people capabilities, processes, and tools. Ensure the processes is operational and capable of meeting the needs or the business. Responsible for the capability of the process within the business unit or entity. Escalate any gaps in resources, requirements that prohibit operation of the process. Ensure key process indicators are visible to the right stakeholders and that process performance is clearly communicated. Lead or sponsor improvement work that improves the capability of the process and define a roadmap for future improvement. Ensure the process is delivering value to customers through effective measures and voice of the customer (VOC). Assess the effectiveness and capability of the process by leading or sponsoring resulting improvement work. Ensure users of the process are trained and capable, and that they have pre-defined escalation paths to quickly eliminate roadblocks. Solve problems using a systematic analysis process by leveraging industry standard methodologies to create problem traceability and protect the customer. Lead Quality Process Management to ensure quality of products, processes and services. Determine assignable causes, implement data-based solutions, identify systemic root causes and recommend action to prevent problem reoccurrence. Lead the process for resolving customer quality issues such as corrective action requests, supplier corrective action requests, and nonconforming material reports. Lead change management activities and provide technical guidance for audits of processes and quality systems. Lead complex Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to ensure customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Positions require a Master's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience as an Industrial, Quality, Manufacturing or Product Engineer, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as an Industrial, Quality, Manufacturing or Product Engineer, or related position. Experience to include: Value Package Introduction (VPI); Six sigma processes including define, measure, analyze, improve & control (DMAIC); Key process indicators; Voice of the customer (VOC); Quality Process Management; Problem solving analysis to identify systemic root causes; Corrective action requests, supplier corrective action requests, and nonconforming material reports; Change management activities; Advanced Product Quality Planning.
