DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

  • Model and Drawing Quality: Ensure high standards of quality for models and drawings by applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles.
  • Product Specifications: Create and maintain detailed product specifications using CAD data management tools, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
  • Engineering Work Requests: Process internal engineering work requests and engage with relevant functional areas as needed.
  • Standards Maintenance: Participate in the maintenance of engineering standards and practices to uphold quality.
  • Drawing Quality Reviews: Actively participate in Drawing Quality Reviews to ensure alignment with established guidelines.
  • Configuration Management: Establish and manage the baseline of product artifacts, controlling changes from concept to obsolescence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the design and development of mechanical parts and assemblies is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's Degree or regionally applicable certification in a relevant STEM field preferred.

Skills:

  • Thermal Engineering Knowledge : Basic understanding of thermal engineering principles.
  • CAD Tools Proficiency : Hands-on experience with Creo and Windchill/PLM.
  • Finite Element Analysis : Basic knowledge of Ansys Software is a plus.
  • Mechanical Design Skills : Proficient in creating CAD models that adhere to Cummins' standards and enable system-level analyses.
