We are looking for an enthusiastic Application Engineering Placement Student to join our team for 12 months, specializing in Engineering for our Turbocharger business segment in Huddersfield. During your placement, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to launch your career in the industry and power your potential!

We are looking for a wide range of applicants studying towards an Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or other related STEM degree. This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 1 July 2025.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Confidence in both verbal and written communication. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and effective manner with both internal stakeholders and our customers.
  • Proactive mindset with willingness and ability to learn new skills, both self-taught and teacher led.

QUALIFICATIONS

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Applying a broad level of technical awareness across multiple engineering disciplines such as engine performance, mechanics, aerodynamics and design.
  • Working with customers to manage their requirements, collaborating with internal stakeholders to review and assess against product capabilities, then developing detailed specifications for new products.
  • Creating then managing validation plans to ensure products are robust and proven to meet the customers' requirements. Leveraging internal testing capabilities within our laboratory operations by specifying test plans, analyzing data and leading technical reviews of the results.
  • Supporting general customer enquiries, providing a high quality and timely level of service.
  • Sourcing information, interpreting data, developing and implementing solutions that are results focused and to agreed deadlines, as per technical requests.
  • Using internal systems and document libraries, ensuring robust written communication and record keeping.
