We are looking for an enthusiastic Account Management Placement Student to join our team specializing in Sales for our CCS (Cummins Components and Software) segment in UK, Huddersfield. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential! This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 2nd June 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: This includes being comfortable asking clarifying questions to fully understand customer needs, even when information might be incomplete. Articulating ideas clearly and negotiating mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking: You'll need to analyze situations with limited data and develop creative solutions to overcome unexpected challenges.
  • Self-motivation and resilience: Sales can involve unclear expectations and setbacks. Managing ambiguity means being adaptable and finding ways to succeed even when the path isn't clear.
  • Learning agility: You'll need to be comfortable learning on the fly and adapting to new information or situations that may arise during the sales process.
  • Dealing with Ambiguity: Navigating uncertain situations and making decisions without having all the information.
  • Project Management and Organization: Overseeing projects and organizing tasks to meet client expectations and deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • 12-month placement as part of university degree relating to Business or Engineering.
  • Basic work experience required in customer facing roles with knowledge of MS Office required. Power BI is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and able to take on challenging tasks.
  • Ability to understand data, solve problems and think innovatively.
