DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineering - Technical Advisor to join our team specializing in Manufacturing, primarily onsite in Fletcher, NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Cross-Functional Management : Manage projects within a cross-functional environment, effectively leading matrixed and dotted line teams to achieve common goals.
  • Mentorship : Coach and mentor manufacturing personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Technical Expertise : Serve as the go-to technical expert in one or more manufacturing disciplines, providing critical insights and guidance.
  • Problem Solving : Advise on and recommend long-term solutions to systemic manufacturing problems, collaborating across the Cummins network to address complex issues and enhance overall performance.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Extensive relevant work experience required, including manufacturing or manufacturing plant experience, and leadership of a large project or multiple projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

  • Role will be primarily onsite out of Fletcher, NC.
  • Combined domestic and international travel could be up to 50% depending on the stage of a project.
  • Lean Six Sigma and Project Management certifications are a benefit.
  • Mechanical Engineering education is preferred.
  • 5 or more years in Manufacturing Engineering is required.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage large and complex capital programs desirable.
  • Experience in technical areas such as assembly technology, CNC machining, complex automation with PLC background, welding, special machines, simple to complex tooling systems, hydraulics, pneumatics or robotics, etc. is required.
