DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Maintenance Manager to join our team in Plainfield, IN .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Leading Teams : By managing teams in the maintenance organization, you'll ensure effective coordination and high performance, directly impacting production and support functions within the Plainfield facility.
  • Ensuring Equipment Availability : Managing preventative maintenance processes will keep equipment available and capable, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Developing Standards and Plans : Creating performance standards and formulating staff development plans will help maintain high-quality maintenance practices and support team growth.
  • Coaching and Improvement : Leading improvement activities and motivating teams will drive continuous enhancements in maintenance processes and team performance.
  • Managing Budgets and Inventory : Overseeing department budgets and managing spare parts and indirect materials inventory will ensure financial resources are used efficiently and necessary resources are always on hand.
  • Ensuring Safety and Training : Ensuring safe and productive plant operations through employee training and resolving safety issues will create a secure work environment.
  • Supporting Communication : Acting as a communication link between teams and the organization, and supporting communication efforts through the Formal Communication Process, will ensure clear and consistent information flow.
  • Empowering Teams : Developing an environment where team members coach each other and are empowered will foster a collaborative and knowledgeable team, ensuring compliance with performance review processes and addressing performance issues as they occur.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Equipment/Capital Procurement - Selects manufacturing equipment which meets the Cummins manufacturing specifications and meets the project or program needs.
  • Manufacturing Prognostics - Applies prognostics techniques by collecting real time equipment conditions and then use advanced analytics and artificial intelligence technologies to project future failures to eliminate unplanned equipment and systems down time.
  • Project Management - Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule and resources for a temporary effort (a "project"). Ensures results/impact from temporary effort are fully realized as possible.
  • Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.
  • Plans and aligns - Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
  • Preventative and Predictive Maintenance - Interprets machine and tool maintenance records and data to develop and execute preventative and predictive management strategies to drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing process.

  • Builds effective teams - Building strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related bachelor's degree or higher, required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Significant level of relevant work experience, including supervisory and leadership experience, required.
