DESCRIPTION
Direct and oversee cross-functional team to ensure speed, dependability and efficiency within Parts Distribution Center operations or warehouse, providing excellent product availability and service to Distributors, Aftermarket customers, and internal stakeholders. Oversee the development of logistics plans and procedures to ensure internal and client needs are met using inventory management, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and material flow principles. Responsible for delivering plan performance, and developing and improving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). Ensure supply chains, intra-company and intercompany, meet all customer and business requirements. Oversee development and execution of business strategies with staff members responsible for Global Materials, Transportation, Logistics Improvement & Data Integration functions. Utilize warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies to meet defined metrics for inbound and outbound operations of a warehouse. Align with internal business partners to garner support and advocacy of enterprise Supply Chain initiatives. Coordinate key business support activities required to operate facilities effectively. Manage Capital Investment requirements (Facilities, Equipment & IT) to support business plans. Prepare and manage an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) including expense, resources, and capital to meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets. Responsible for ensuring company values are present in the plant, by championing diversity, leading community involvement, and complying with all regulations. Manage and develop supply chain capability by working with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning. Mentor and coach team to develop supply chain capability across the organization. Evaluate and select appropriate transportation mode and equipment type by lane through shipment volume analysis against business requirements to provide optimal shipping method while balancing cost, quality and time. Set the aim for the organization and ensure individual work plans are consistent with supply chain initiatives. Review Key Performance Indicators and operational trends to validate root cause analysis and corrective action plans to address performance issues on safety, quality, delivery, and/or cost. Champion continuous improvement projects that align with the company and Cross-Functional Excellence by leveraging common processes, tools and information systems and applying principles of Six Sigma methodologies, Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban and Value Stream Mapping.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Positions require a Master's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience as a Shift, Operations, Supply Chain or Materials Leader, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field and 6 years of experience as a Shift, Operations, Supply Chain or Materials Leader, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer or related position. Experience to include: Inventory management, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), logistics and material flow principles; Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI's); Warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies; Manage an Annual Operating Plan (AOP); Manage supply chain initiatives; Transportation mode evaluation and selection; Root cause analysis and corrective action plans; Cross-Functional Excellence; Six Sigma methodologies, Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban and Value Stream Mapping.
