DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Logistics Co-op (School to Work) to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Cummins Inc. facility in Florence, KY.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Identifying Process Improvements : Assist in pinpointing areas for improvement within manufacturing and distribution operations, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implementing Projects : Participate in the development and execution of process improvement projects, ensuring they are successfully implemented.
- Data Analysis : Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for efficiency gains, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
- Reporting and Presentations : Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management, aiding strategic planning.
- Project Coordination : Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing improvement projects, ensuring they align with business goals and are completed on time.
- Monitoring Progress : Track project milestones and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of deliverables, maintaining project momentum.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are aligned with overall business objectives, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Customer Operations Support : Provide support to the Customer Operations team, addressing operational issues and improving customer satisfaction through effective solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing : Apply your basic understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and process improvements.
Education/Experience:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite a plus
Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
Must be a full-time college student
