DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Health, Safety, and Environment Leader to join our team at our Cummins Sales and Service North America Department in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure organizational understanding and commitment to a positive health, safety, and environmental culture.
- Consult and engage employees in the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures.
- Lead hazard identification and risk assessment programs to identify strategic risk improvement opportunities and compliance gaps.
- Manage planning actions to set and achieve site targets and objectives.
- Develop and maintain support content that is up-to-date, controlled, and adheres to data privacy regulations.
- Interface with external regulatory bodies with legal support to ensure compliance.
- Drive improvements in health, safety, and environmental performance metrics using a risk-based and data-driven approach.
- Coach and develop teams based on feedback, observations, and succession planning needs.

Health, Safety and/or Environmental degree preferred. Professional certification in HSE-related field preferred. Experience: Intermediate level of experience required, including experience in management of health, safety and environmental ISO Standards required. Minimal management experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Health, Safety and Environment and equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Health, Safety, and Environmental experience.
- Onsite position reporting daily to the Fort McMurray branch.
- Regular travel to customer mine locations in the Fort McMurray Oil Sands.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a vehicle to get to customer locations.
- Cummins operates 24/7; flexibility to be present during off-shifts is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter and motivated to work effectively independently
- Position will be safety sensitive and subject to Drug and Alcohol testing per company and customer policy.
