DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Technical specialist and regular customer support contact to diagnose and complete less complex repairs to Cummins products at a single customer's site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage customers courteously and professionally, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to their needs.
- Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
- Coach customer employees on preventive maintenance activities and basic repairs.
- Escalate unresolved issues to experienced On-Site Technicians or Supervisors.
- Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents, via handwritten forms or business systems.
- Undertake training to meet skill and business requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of work areas and tools.
- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues or incidents to site management and supervisors.

Qualifications and Certifications:
- Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
- Current relevant electrical certification (Optional)
- Locally valid driving permit
- Licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions (as required)
Experience:
- Basic field service work experience.
- Intermediate knowledge or experience with power generation or engine products.
- Optional experience with High Voltage/Low Voltage systems.
- Customer service experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Knowledge:
- Hands-on experience with engine and aftertreatment systems at the vehicle level.
- Troubleshooting expertise for vehicles, engines, and associated systems.
- Basic knowledge of electronic service tools like Insite for engines and aftertreatment systems.
- Capability to strip down, rebuild, and analyze failures in components like turbochargers, dosing systems, and fuel systems.
- Warranty case handling and disposition.
- Experience in service center audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Infant care support and failure analysis coordination.
- Organizing and delivering training for OEMs and service centers to ensure smooth product operations.
- Maintaining a service database and preparing monthly reports.
- Enhancing service capabilities through technical and parts availability support.
