Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Investigations and Right Environment, Executive Director to join our team specializing in Ethics & Compliance for Cummins, Inc in our Corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Fostering Inclusivity: By developing and directing strategies, initiatives, and policies, you'll create a positive and inclusive work environment across the enterprise.
  • Conducting Thorough Investigations: Your ability to manage all phases of investigations related to violations of the company's Code of Business Conduct will ensure integrity and compliance within the organization.
  • Building Strong Partnerships: Establishing and maintaining business partnerships through engagement with internal stakeholders will support the achievement of right environment goals.
  • Providing Expert Guidance: Leveraging internal and external data, you'll offer subject matter expertise and guidance to senior leadership on investigations and right environment matters.
  • Enhancing Processes: By documenting, assessing, and continually improving investigation processes and standards, you'll ensure consistency and effectiveness. Training and managing the investigation team will keep them updated on current trends.
  • Optimizing Solutions: Utilizing sound judgment and diverse experiences, you'll proactively identify and optimize organizational investigations and right environment solutions, balancing stakeholder needs.
  • Supporting Leadership: Actively supporting the review and analysis of investigation tools and resources, including predictive analytics and AI, will help prioritize key performance indicators and identify areas of risk.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensures company compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCC), and affirmative action policies, plans and the local and / or regional equivalent.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

  • College, University, or equivalent degree; Law Degree (strongly preferred)
  • 10-15 years relevant work experience
  • Significant experience, including managerial and budgetary experience, is required. Broad business knowledge required.
  • Establishes and ensures that investigation processes and standards are documented, consistent, assessed, and continually improved. Trains and manages the investigation team, stakeholders, and subject matter experts on relevant training programs and ensures team is kept up to date with current issues and trends.
  • Actively supports the leadership, exploration, and the review and analysis of investigation and right environment tools and resources (including predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, and employee reporting / resources) in prioritizing key performance indicators including areas of risk and vulnerability for the organization.
  • Reviews resources and required competencies in monitoring team performance and the impact of team initiatives in global, regional, business, and functional segments; formally assess results and provide guidance and direction on improvements.
  • Partners with labor relations, legal, ethics & compliance, and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance with all regulatory matters in both bargained and non-bargained environments across the enterprise.
  • Strong analytical skills and aptitude, with ability to assess risk and evaluate tradeoffs
  • Experience in compliance, program management and operational execution
  • Significant work experience including managing others, process improvement, litigation and/or investigation experience; financial and budgetary experience
  • Expertise in consulting and guidance; provide ongoing coaching to managers and investigators to ensure effective training is in place
  • Ensure consistent investigation standards exist, provide relevant training programs, and manage the internal investigations process in a timely manner
  • Evaluate cases for patterns and trends to identify failures in policies, procedures and/or internal controls
  • Work with appropriate business and functional leaders to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of matter review, compliance, and investigation processes including the development of production metrics and reporting

Compensation

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
