Engine Field Service Technician

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Field service Technician to join our team in Sparwood, British-Columbia.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
  • Identifies additional service opportunities with customer.
  • Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and completes less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
  • Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.
  • Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
  • Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Heavy Duty Equipment Technician and/or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician - Off Road Certification
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving permit This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Basic level field service work experience
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • Customer service experience

About the role :

Unionized location - Sparwood, BC

Minimal level of workshop related experience required.

Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.

Hourly rate: $56.76/hr

Field service Shift: 7x7 shift, 12 hr - rotational days/nights possibly to go on the 7 on 7

Shift Premiums: 7x7 day shift premium, 7x7 afternoon shift premium , 7x7 night shift premium Sparwood location premium

Certification Requirements: Heavy Duty Equipment Technician and/or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician - Off Road Certified required

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our Company Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
