DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Electrical Level II 3rd Shift Maintenance to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Rocky Mount/Whitakers, NC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Ensure Equipment Availability : Perform electrical maintenance and machine support tasks to keep equipment operational and capable, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols : Learn and follow protocols for working safely with electricity and other energy sources, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Maintain High Standards : Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship, ensuring the quality and reliability of electrical systems and equipment.
- Conduct Thorough Inspections : Perform quality inspections and provide feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system, helping to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Support HSE Initiatives : Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental standards, report hazards, and engage in HSE training to contribute to a safe and healthy workplace.
- Perform Comprehensive Maintenance : Carry out preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, ensuring that all electrical systems conform to applicable codes and standards.
- Collaborate and Communicate : Work effectively with your team and support teams, participating in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to improve quality, safety, processes, and material flow.
- Drive Continuous Improvement : Identify and reduce manufacturing constraints, solve problems, and participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance overall manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Champion Health and Safety : Model proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve workplace safety. This will help build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free environment.
- Ensure Controls Safety : Recognize and address hazards related to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls in the manufacturing environment. Incorporate safe practices and procedures into your daily work to reduce injuries and create a safer machine environment.
- Troubleshoot Electrical Systems : Analyze electrical control systems to resolve and repair electrical issues, ensuring systems return to proper operating conditions efficiently.
- Implement Factory Automation : Use available technology and programming techniques to automate manufacturing processes. Identify necessary materials and resources for project completion to optimize automation in the manufacturing environment.
- Program Machines : Design and implement factory floor machine programs to improve machine usage and overall operation, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
- Apply Manufacturing Knowledge : Demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing processes by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications. This will help meet the function's needs and drive continuous improvement.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement : Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance manufacturing processes and practices. Your contributions will help improve quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Collaborate and Communicate : Work effectively with your team and support teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Clear communication will be key to achieving better results together.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

- Become competent and proficient in PLC logic and robotics if skillset has not already been acquired.
- Operates in a multi-craft capacity, performs electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Must have mechanical/electrical aptitude.
- Experience in a manufacturing industry a plus.
