Job Summary:
Completes troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop independently while coaching and developing less experienced technicians
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Avondale, AZ). will make an impact in the following ways:

- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
(Advanced):
- Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
- Larger more complicated engine rebuilds
- Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must include results from DOT Pre-Employment questionnaire (please see updated questions), even If the answer is no DOT requirement, include that

- The regular schedule for this position will be 6:00AM to 6:00PM Mon-Fri. This schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
- This position requires a technical/trade school degree from an accredited program or equivalent work experience.
- The level for this position will be based on the candidate's qualifications and skill set. Qualifications for different technician levels:
- Technician Level I: Limited relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on a minimal number of products in-scope for technician at this location; primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics; requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
- Technician Level II: Some relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for technician at this location; primarily engaged in moderately complex maintenance and repair; some exposure to moderate or complex diagnostics, requires limited direct supervision, may provide basic training or guidance to new technicians.
- Technician Level III : Significant relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for technician at this location; frequently engaged in complex diagnosis and repair; requires minimal to no supervision; ability to effectively train and guide less experienced technicians of varying skillsets.
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing."

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
