DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Credit Analyst - Senior to join our team specializing in Finance in GA.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Enhancing Financial Planning : By preparing detailed credit reporting, planning, and forecasting, you'll provide crucial insights that drive strategic financial decisions.
  • Mitigating Risks : Analyzing credit exposures and performing credit-worthiness reviews will help minimize financial risks and protect the business from potential losses.
  • Supporting Business Operations : Your expertise in trade finance and credit management will support business operations, ensuring smooth financial transactions and stability.
  • Standardizing Processes : By supporting the standardization of credit processes, you'll improve efficiency and consistency across the business unit.
  • Monitoring Performance : Developing and producing reports to monitor Accounts Receivable performance will help maintain financial health and adherence to credit limits.
  • Collaborating with Sales : Partnering with the sales/commercial function to provide credit and financial support will facilitate business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Fostering Communication : Encouraging cross-segment communication on credit issues will help develop effective risk mitigation strategies and enhance collaboration.
  • Driving Improvements : Leading special projects to improve credit systems, reporting, and processes will contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

  • Credit Management : Assess customer creditworthiness and risk to support sales strategies while maximizing accounts receivable collectability and minimizing bad debts. Evaluate business opportunities to balance sales growth with financial risk management.
  • Financial Analysis : Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, opportunities, and risks. Provide insights to stakeholders to drive business improvements and ensure the integrity of financial data by investigating variances and implementing corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related subject required.
  • Progress toward financial certification is preferred.

Experience:

  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

Additional Information/Requirements:

  • Perform credit risk assessments on new and existing customers.
  • Must have financial acumen and financial analysis experience including interpreting and spreading key financial data.
  • Ability to evaluate financial statements, analyze trends, interpret credit reports, and monitor industry trends to determine the financial stability of a company.
  • Responsible for preparing detailed financial risk assessments by analyzing financial data, evaluating risk, and making recommendation on a customer's creditworthiness.
  • Construction Industry credit experience preferred, with knowledge in mechanics lien & bond claims, private and commercial construction projects, contractual chains, ability to navigate through purchase order and contract details, understands project milestones, draw dates, and pay apps/AIA requirements.
