DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Commercial Product Manager to join our Product team in our Drivetrain & Braking Systems Aftermarket division based in Redditch, United Kingdom.

This is a permanent position with a hybrid working model, requiring 50% onsite presence. Additionally, the role involves 10% domestic and 10% international travel.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Strategic Development: You'll support senior leadership in crafting and implementing business and product strategies, ensuring alignment with overarching goals.
  • Lifecycle Management: By managing key product line lifecycles, you'll interpret market trends and lead marketing initiatives for new and existing products.
  • Long-term Planning: You'll develop long-term product strategies, forecasts, and annual operating plans, ensuring budget requirements are met.
  • Marketing Excellence: You'll develop comprehensive marketing plans, ensure successful product launches, and manage the lifecycle.
  • Pricing and Branding: You'll oversee pricing activities and ensure effective implementation of the product branding strategy, enhancing internal and external communications.
  • Intellectual Property Protection: You'll work with legal and engineering teams to protect the organisation's intellectual property and assets.
  • Market Research and Positioning: Utilize market research to define competitive stances and plan appropriate approaches to target markets.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: You'll collaborate globally to ensure product profitability, recommend process improvements, and guide product managers to achieve results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills: Clearly convey ideas and strategies to various stakeholders, using visual aids and storytelling to engage and persuade different audiences.
  • Strategic Mindset: Develop and implement innovative strategies that leverage marketing and sales levers to maximise profitability, anticipate future trends and balance short-term and long-term goals.
  • Marketing Plan Management: Create and manage marketing plans based on the 4 P's, collaborating with cross-functional teams and using data to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Product Life Cycle Management: Monitor market dynamics and customer feedback to adapt the product portfolio, managing the entire product life cycle to ensure alignment with business goals and customer expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Proven experience in leading or participating in multi-functional project teams.
  • Product Management experience.
  • Experience and knowledge in the automotive aftermarket, especially related to commercial vehicles, is preferred.
  • Experience in developing product programs for braking, drivetrain, steering, and suspension products, as well as emerging markets, is advantageous.
