DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our team specializing in Finance for Cummins in Darlington, UK.

This is a permanent contract, working 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday with hybrid opportunity.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support month-end and year-end revenue close processes by efficiently preparing journal entries and completing complex reconciliations to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and submit intricate reports, including site VAT returns, year-end and quarter-end revenue SDM, and assistance with transfer pricing and patent box claims.
  • Serve as an independent expert by addressing business queries related to customer pricing, shipments, and payments with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to operational efficiency by participating in complex accounting projects, identifying inefficiencies, and suggesting process improvements within the finance team.
  • Enhance compliance and control by ensuring adherence to SOX regulations, strengthening internal controls, and reducing financial risks.
  • Lead or participate in projects focused on accounts receivable improvements, prepare month-end reporting, and perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance team's goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with diverse stakeholders and address complex revenue queries effectively.
  • Proficient in Excel, with strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and account management.
  • Skilled in time management and prioritization, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Finance background required, with Oracle knowledge being desirable for enhancing system proficiency and process effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionized agreement.
