Strategic Insights Lead, Associate Director
We are currently looking for a Global Strategic Insights Lead, Associate Director for our global headquarters in Glattbrugg (Zurich, Switzerland). This role will focus on the Nephrology franchise, supporting rare disease products. In this role, you will report to the Head of Global Strategic Insights and play a key role in driving the strategic and tactical plans for specific brand/s by leveraging analytics to generate actionable insights. This position involves high-level cross-functional collaboration and senior stakeholder management across the organization.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Lead high-impact strategic projects, including therapeutic area prioritization, LCM and BD&L assessments, and geographical expansion, to unlock new growth opportunities and shape long-term business strategies.
- Design and implement advanced insights generation and business analysis frameworks that inform key decision-making processes, enhance competitive positioning, and drive data-driven business strategies.
- Deliver forward-looking insights on market dynamics, competitor movements, and customer needs, enabling Brand Teams to develop agile, proactive strategies and operational plans that align with evolving market trends.
- Drive comprehensive forecasting and business opportunity assessments, including lifecycle management, geographical market expansion, and in-depth root cause analysis, ensuring robust, evidence-based decision-making.
- Oversee and optimize market research and business analysis functions, ensuring alignment with compliance standards, efficient budget management, and integration with overall business objectives.
- Lead the brand planning process by conducting rigorous situational analyses, identifying key growth drivers and barriers, and recommending actionable strategies to enhance brand performance and market impact.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration across global affiliates and internal teams, fostering best practices in competitive intelligence, forecasting, and market research to drive strategic alignment and support business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Science, Business Administration, or Statistics, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in strategic insights, analytics, or strategic planning within the Pharma/Biopharma industry or top tier management consulting firms.
- Proven experience in supporting international product launches, delivering actionable market insights and business planning solutions to support successful commercial strategies.
- Expert-level proficiency in building robust forecasting models and developing business cases that inform high-stakes decision-making and drive profitable and sustainable growth.
- Deep expertise in primary market research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative), with a solid understanding of data analysis, statistical techniques, and translating research into strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to deliver compelling, executive-level presentations and guide cross-functional teams toward strategic alignment.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work across global teams, drive innovation, and contribute to long-term business success.
