Responsibilities:

Demand determination and procurement market research

  • Coordination of short- and long-term demand and identification of preferred suppliers for product categories at the regional level, in alignment with national and global category leads.
  • Market research in international markets to identify capable suppliers and service providers with the goal of ensuring long-term supply security and cost optimization in procurement.

  • Management of the product category within the region: design, implementation, training, and maintenance of product category-specific procurement processes.
  • Optimization of regional procurement processes (e.g., identifying preferred suppliers and supporting inquiries).
  • Participation in the introduction of new processes, systems, and tools in procurement within the region:
    • Planning and executing local and regional procurement orders in coordination with the responsible departments-primarily in the area of the responsible product category: research and creation of a supplier selection list specific to the order.
    • Coordination between the stakeholders through the RFX/RFI (Request for Information/Request for Proposal) process.
    • Assessment of supplier qualifications, including conducting a point evaluation system.
  • Approval of suppliers and service providers based on predefined parameters in Aravo.
  • Documentation of specifications and requirements for materials and services.
  • Creation of benchmarks.
  • Participation in the development of regional procurement strategies for defined product categories.
  • Monitoring of the current market situation and technological developments within a category.
  • Adherence to savings targets.
  • Negotiating offers.
  • Creation of regular project reports.

Contract negotiations
  • Participation in framework agreements and sole negotiation of individual contracts within the CSL policy. Updating, reviewing, and publishing contract contents in the contract management systems (CMS).
  • Monitoring contract implementation.
  • Defining KPIs for selected suppliers and contributing to the negotiation of long-term strategic contracts to reduce costs and improve service levels.
  • Review within the framework of CSL policy to determine if a formal contract agreement is required in ERP or Ariba, drafting agreements if necessary, and coordinating the process until approval.

Maintaining supplier and stakeholder relationships
  • Maintains long-term relationships with selected regional suppliers to build trustworthy cooperation.
  • Communication and coordination with suppliers within project timelines.
  • Close collaboration with the departments to identify and expand long-term procurement opportunities.
  • Participation in the regional implementation of product category strategies.
  • Facilitating communication between suppliers to ensure their value contribution.

Risk management
  • Participation in cross-departmental teams to ensure delivery readiness, supply sources, and required quality.
  • Participation in supplier evaluations by analyzing previous supplier behavior (e.g., delivery reliability, quality, reliability).
  • Reviewing and ensuring procurement regulations and further compliance and risk aspects.

Interfaces
  • Professional contribution to local and global projects.
  • Participation in change management teams, e.g., quality.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in business or equivalent
• 5 years' procurement/supply management experience
• Purchasing Management Certification (ISM/CPM, CIPS) preferred
• Strong time management and communication skills, strong drive for results
• Excellent computer skills with ability to work in diverse applications
