The Senior Manager of Price Modeling is a key subject matter expert in the pricing function for US Commercial Operations, supporting the Director of Pricing Modelling in the execution of analysis, interpretation and consolidation of disparate and complex data sources providing regular and insightful US Regional price performance reviews, competitive price intelligence, on-going brand price management, and new brand launch pricing strategies.

This role requires a candidate who combines excellence in analytical competencies with a strong business acumen allowing unique analysis that provides insight and opportunity for CSL Behring through the way in which we deliver and measure price performance across our customer segments in the US market to be a trusted and valued cross-functional partner.

Success in this position requires a strategic understanding of the role and impact of price as it relates to business imperatives of key customer stakeholders in the US plasma and recombinant biotherapeutics market including Payers, Physicians, Patients, GPOs, Distributors, Hospitals, IDNs, Specialty Pharmacies and other alternative sites of care. Additionally, success in this position requires ability to work effectively in a cross-functional capacity including regular interface with leadership from marketing, sales, corporate accounts, finance, legal, contracting, and business analytics.

This position requires exceptional analytical skills including extensive experience with data manipulation across a variety of analytical systems and tools. In addition to analytical capacity, the role must be able to distill complex analysis into simple and actionable output that helps guide the CSL US Region pricing decisions and processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Leverage knowledge of US healthcare industry, regulations, and stakeholders; to develop analytics in support of pricing strategies and contacting opportunities across the CSLB US commercial business.

  • Under the direction of Director Pricing Modelling, collaborate with Contracting and HCS to develop and monitor business performance v expected outcomes presented in Pricing Committee. Proactively provide analysis and data that support field team in value realization from executed contracts including content creation for monthly/quarterly customer business reviews. Deviations from expected outcomes, both favorable and unfavorable should be appropriately reviewed with key stakeholders to ensure actionable items are put in place and/or insights are leverage to inform other pricing decisions.

  • Provide management reporting on price & contract performance versus goals, category level price intelligence and other ongoing insights in pricing and contracting dashboards

  • Analyze and provide insights to in-line and cross functional stakeholders regarding changes in account buying behavior and assist in leading pricing strategy that drive value optimization across the US business.

  • Collaborate with Director of Price modelling, HCS, Brand and Contracting cross functional partners to identify and develop brand related pricing insights; looking to innovate where possible by leveraging available technology to support reporting and insights.

  • Assist in preparation of supporting business impacts and value realization across decision choice sets to be presented at Pricing Committee.

  • Assist in preparing pricing analysis evaluating business impact of new customer opportunities, customer retention strategies, market assessments, product launch support, and other price related proposals focused on value optimization across the US business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred or commensurate experience
  • 8 to 10 years' professional experience with 5+ years of biotech/pharmaceutical experience (title dependent on experience).
  • Prior experience in Finance/Accounting, Commercial Analysis, Contract Management or Pricing preferred
