Medical Science Liaison

The MSL is a field-based medical position responsible for providing medical & scientific information and medical education and medical insight generation for the influenza landscape and Seqirus licensed and the late-stage portfolio of vaccines. The region of responsibility may include the whole of Germany, but focus will be on the north-west of Germany.

You will aim to build credible and durable relationships with health care professionals (in particular key opinion leaders) and other relevant external partners.

You will also support the medical teams within CSL in other countries especially within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).

You will report to the Senior Medical Manager Germany.

Accountabilities:

• Communicate new and other important approved medical content to targeted Health Care Professionals (HCPs) in local, regional or national capacities including Vaccines HCP decision-makers, national and regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), national and regional professional associations, payer's groups at regional and national level, government organizations, primary care important partners at regional level and any other HCP who may be considered an influencer for flu protection in Germany.
• Provide externally truthful, accurate and scientifically supported information in response to unsolicited medical requests from HCPs and other stakeholders in a manner that complies with all applicable ethical, governmental and Seqirus guidelines and procedures (e.g. medical inquiries, scientific congress participation).
• Provide internally product and indication expertise for any Seqirus/CSL colleague (e.g. field force training, update medical slides, medical review and copy clearance).
• Facilitate communication between HCPs and Health Care Organizations (HCOs), any healthcare decision maker and Medical Affairs colleagues.
• You will facilitate both Seqirus sponsored clinical trials, collaborative research, and investigator-initiated research activities, as determined by Medical Affairs and observing Seqirus SOPs (Seqirus sponsored research site/investigator interactions, IIR inquiries).
• Facilitate and support Medical Affairs contribution to awareness and education of all stakeholders in close collaboration with internal functions.
• Search for customer insights that contribute to the development of product medical strategies and provide these to Seqirus.

• A Master in Biological Science, Medical or Clinical discipline or Pharmacy with complementary experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology/ healthcare industry preferably in vaccines; PhD in relevant field or MD
• Experience in clinical or health services education or research (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry).
• Experience in influenza, infectious diseases, epidemiology, vaccines, public health and the German health care system
• Fluent in English and German
• Hold a driving license valid in Germany
• Willing to travel across Germany and internationally according to our needs
