The Opportunity

CSL (top 5 listed ASX organisation and a global biotechnology company) is continuing to invest and grow. Working at Australia's largest pharmaceutical site, you will lead, develop, review and implement EHS programs, maintaining regulatory compliance, and designing safety into significant capital projects at our CSL Behring Broadmeadows site.

You will provide guidance and technical expertise to achieve excellence in creating an industry-leading safe work environment. You will lead EHS design and maintain required programs, training personnel, supporting the implementation of the EHS Management System, and participating in EHS audits and assessments.

Your tasks will include:

  • Facilitate incident investigation analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, ease of doing business and process, policy and procedure simplification. Facilitate co-operation between management and employees in developing and carrying out measures designed to manage closure of EHS issues through relevant committees and teams

  • Support internal clients to comply with requirements of relevant EHS legislation
  • Lead deployment of allocated EHS critical programs from plan and act as EHS representative for engineering projects and initiatives for your location
  • Assist CSL Engineers in developing and reviewing SWMS; in particular when CSL is operating as the Principal Contractor

To be successful you will have:
  • Bachelor's Degree required. Safety, Engineering, Environmental, or related field.
  • 5+ years in an EHS role preferably in an Industrial / Manufacturing environment
  • Work in a team setting and among multiple department functions that allows for cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working together to ensure each employee and the department succeeds.
  • Experience in your ability to intervene to address safety and environmental concerns.
  • Experience in EHS project management, including design and operational readiness is desirable
