As a member of the International Commercial Finance Team, the Director, Finance Business Partner International Marketing and Tender & Tolling collaborates closely with the Marketing leadership team as well as the Tender and Tolling leadership team to drive financial performance, optimize marketing investments, and support key business decisions that accelerate growth and maximize value in investments projects and tender/toll contracts.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Head International Finance, you will provide financial leadership, strategic insights, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial objectives and marketing and tender strategies.

  • Trusted advisor to VP International Marketing, Senior Director International Tender and Tolling Strategy & Operations and their teams to develop and execute strategies, ensuring financial plans align with company objectives
  • Act as the primary finance partner to the Marketing and Tender/Tolling team, providing insights and guidance on budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
  • Contribute to the development of budget and forecasts, identifying opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining strategic focus
  • Finance lead of new product launches, business cases, patient modeling and forecasting and tactical engagement planning

Business Partnering & Decision Support:
  • Provide proactive, data-driven financial insights to support critical decisions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, offering financial recommendations on tender /tolling pricing cases, marketing promotions, and channel strategies to maximize impact and profitability
  • Work closely with Tender/Tolling team and support developing innovative data models and scenario that support optimal decision making ensuring appropriate risk taking for volumes allocation and pricing to maximize revenue and profitability generation.

Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial plans with the Marketing, Tender and Tolling functions and in close collaboration Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to:
  • Oversee the Marketing and Tender & Tolling budget and forecast process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of key financial metrics.
  • Provide ongoing financial analysis to monitor marketing spend and assess its effectiveness in driving business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain financial KPIs, tracking performance against targets, and making recommendations for adjustments as needed.

Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Provide insights into the cost structure of marketing activities, ensuring transparency and alignment across departments.
  • Influence decision-making across the organization by presenting clear financial analyses and recommendations to senior leadership.

Support delivery of the Finance Strategy and have collective ownership for Global Finance team development initiatives.
  • Effectively manage without formal authority in matrix environment
  • Foster a collaborative environment that drives results.

Internal Control:
  • Provide external financial audit support at half year and full year, including preparation of documentation and analysis as required, as well as interfacing with auditors to provide business insight for items as requested and resolution of issues raised in accordance with agreed timelines.
  • Support ensuring that financial processes follow CSL policies and that proper controls are in place, as applicable.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with major(s) in Finance, Accounting, or other related Business field, including Economics, Business Administration, etc. MBA and/or professional certification (e.g., CPA or CMA) preferred.
  • Experience A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial finance business partnering in the pharmaceutical industry,
  • Experience with tender contracts and negotiations on local market level preferred
  • Intellectually curious and openness to explore new technology, process improvements
  • Is results driven and strives to exceed expectations
  • The position also requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships and collaborate effectively with multiple levels and cross functionally within a region
  • Can manage multiple overlapping priorities
  • Expert level Excel incl. data analysis functionality, good skills in other MS-Office applications; SAP S/4 and Business Intelligence / Financial Consolidation applications (e.g. BW/BI, SAP BPC, SAC) as well as QlikView / QlikSense / Power BI / Tableau

Location: This role can be based in Bern, Switzerland, Liverpool, UK or King of Prussia US
