The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, Business Partnering, Commercial Global Functions (ABC & Medical), as the Director, Finance Business Partner, Medical/ABC, you will hold a key leadership role and be tasked with supporting financial strategy, planning, and analysis across four critical domains: Market Access & Pricing, Commercial Development, Medical Affairs, and Analytics & Insights. You will be required to possess strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams. You will drive alignment across cross-functional teams, ensuring financial excellence and supporting organizational objectives in a complex, global biotech environment. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule.

The Role:

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnering
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to the ABC and Medical Affairs leadership teams, aligning financial strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Provide robust financial planning and performance evaluation to support Global Market Access, Business Excellence, and Commercial Development initiatives.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs to evaluate investments in evidence generation, external collaborations, and lifecycle management strategies to maximize product value.
  • Develop advanced financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives, including therapeutic area strategies, global product launches, and market access investments.

Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for all areas under ABC and Medical Affairs.
  • Deliver insights on cost drivers, risks, and opportunities to optimize resource allocation and drive informed decision-making.

Market Access & Pricing
  • Partner with the Market Access and Pricing teams to support financial modeling and pricing strategies for new product launches and established therapies.
  • Evaluate and advise on global pricing strategies, reimbursement approaches, and value-based frameworks to maximize revenue potential.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of pipeline and lifecycle strategies in partnership with R&D and the therapeutic area leadership teams.
  • Collaborate on long-term pricing and allocation strategies to maximize product value across regions and geographies.

Commercial Development
  • Lead financial assessments for business case development across therapeutic areas, including Ig, Immunology, Hematology, and Cardio/Renal.
  • Collaborate with R&D and BD&L teams to evaluate lifecycle investments, therapeutic area strategies, and pipeline development initiatives.
  • Support decision-making for resource allocation by modeling trade-offs, ROI scenarios, and long-term revenue potential.
  • Provide financial input to align global product strategies with market trends and commercial opportunities.
  • Present financial outcomes and business cases to senior leadership, ensuring clarity and actionable recommendations.

Medical Affairs
  • Support financial planning for medical activities, including advisory boards, investigator-initiated research (IIR), and lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Evaluate investments in external collaborations and evidence generation to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and ROI potential.
  • Partner with medical teams to assess the financial impact of global lifecycle plans and unmet medical needs.
  • Facilitate financial oversight of key initiatives, including publications, medical training, and education programs.

Your Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related discipline is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning, business partnering, or strategy roles within biotech, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
  • Proven expertise in market access, pricing strategies, and business case development.
  • Experience supporting global teams across medical, commercial, and operational functions.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
