The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director, Site Finance Business Partner for the Kankakee manufacturing site, as the Associate Director, Finance Business Partnering, Kankakee, you will partner with senior Site Leaders in Kankakee by providing accurate, timely, and meaningful financial analyses, insights, and direction necessary to support and drive informed business decisions and fulfill the financial performance analyses and reporting requirements of the CSL Behring Finance team. You will execute this purpose with a willingness and openness to meet our business partners' needs, focus on continuously improving internal business processes and quality of insights, and support sustainable profitable growth strategy through insightful analyses. You will focus on supporting Kankakee's E2E team's activities including Value Capture projects, KPIs, cost per unit, and the budget and forecast planning processes. You will support the Product Costing Hub by collaborating with E2E leadership to ensure accuracy of bill of materials, routings, and yields. You will acquire knowledge of all operational areas at the site and possess the ability to provide financial guidance for financial systems, applications, and acumen. Finally, you will act as deputy for the Director, Site Finance Business Partner at Kankakee. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule. #LI-hybrid.

The Role:
- Lead Finance Business Partner for Value Streams, Maintenance to Utilities (M2U), and assigned Support Functions' leadership teams at Kankakee. Contribute to the development of reporting, insights, analytics, and dashboards to improve decision making of business partners. Develop a KPI framework to drive accountability and financial acumen among business partners leadership teams.
- Provide insightful commentary to explain forecast and budget variances for the Value Stream and M2U leadership teams. Commentary will focus on key performance drivers and actions required to minimize variances and mitigate financial risks.
- Drive the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for the site. Provide insightful commentary to Manufacturing, E2E Finance, and assigned support functions to financial variances. Lead FTE and conversion cost planning for Manufacturing and assigned Support functions.
- Support improvement of financial systems, processes, and procedures. Liaise with other CSL Behring sites to achieve global standardization of processes and categorization of conversion costs.
- Evaluate financial impact for business cases, programs, or high value Procurement contracts.
- Provide financial evaluation of capital projects improving or growing the business. Collaborate with business partners to support for the Product Costing Hub. Leverage FP&A resources to support development of business cases and other complex analyses and modelling.
- Support external audit process by providing documentation or analyses as requested.
- Primary contact for external auditors during annual physical inventory observation. Collaborate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful observation. Provide requested documentation to external auditors.
- Collaborate with Value Stream and M2U Leads to reduce costs through process improvements. Provide cost savings opportunities to business partners leadership teams. Calculate financial savings for Value Capture projects and ensure viable assumptions. Verify Value Capture projects delivering expected results.
- Collaborate and challenge business partners to ensure reasonable operating assumptions utilized for determining financial impact of business cases. Provide consultation, where required, to Product Costing Hub with development of new products' standard cost. Leverage Product Costing Hub to provide actionable, insightful analyses to explain variances for new production processes and products until stabilized.
- Finance representative during union negotiations. Provide financial impact for Company and union proposals. Recommend Company proposals based upon own financial expertise and insight.
- Represent Finance on the Network Value Stream's leadership team. Provide financial guidance, support, and analyses as requested. Seek opportunities to improve standardization among sites.
- Deputy for the Kankakee Site Head of Finance Business Partnering. Interim backfill for Kankakee Site Head of Business Partnering and Head of Product Costing Hub during extended absences.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related degree; MBA desired.
- CPA or CMA potential differentiating factor.
- Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in manufacturing finance and accounting roles at a manufacturing site. Includes measuring, analyzing, and communicating financial performance.
- Excellent business partnering skills acquired through effectively challenging, advising, and supporting business partners. Must maintain effective working relationships with business partners and Finance.
- Proven experience providing financial analyses and insightful commentary to senior leadership. Able to translate financial information into business partners' language.
- Demonstrated track record of effectively functioning on a team. Must maintain discretion and confidentiality. Remain composed and professional during collaboration.
- Experience engaging diverse stakeholders at varying levels within an organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
