Senior Accountant
Wilmington, DE
Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Hybrid (3 days per week in-office)
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Finance Team with a specialized focus on financial reporting and more complexareas of accounting. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and executing key financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and supporting the organization's strategic financial objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Some of the things you will be doing:
- Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations.
- Month-End and Quarter-End Close: Help manage global close and consolidation processes. Prepare more complex reconciliations and journal entries.
- Technical Accounting: Assist in research, interpretation, and apply accounting standards and advising on their impact on corporate financials.
- Consolidation Activities: Key understanding in and oversight of global consolidation system workflow.
- Internal Controls: Key understanding in global internal control framework.
- Audit Readiness: Act as a key liaison for external consolidated financial statement audits.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with FP&A, tax, treasury, and operations teams to align on financial reporting and strategic initiatives.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and close activities as well as other related project work.
What technical skills, experience and qualifications to you need?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and financial reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions.
- Strong understanding of GAAP; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in public accounting (Big 4 or similar) and/or corporate finance roles within large organizations.
- Oracle EPM experience
- CPA certification
- Excellent organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level presentations.
