Job Summary
The Sales Engineer position is responsible for developing and driving our spec position for Oldcastle Infrastructure P&C in the OSP & Premise Communications markets in the United States at key accounts. This will include writing specifications in a manner that separates OI from the competition which can be used by our sales team with other customers. They are responsible for reviewing existing customer specifications and providing input with the help of product engineering and product management. They will also track/manage OI published and non-published specifications and status. They will lead our efforts to bring the Voice of the Customer back into our business, anticipating and identifying market trends and customer technical needs while ensuring that OI product solutions are specified and preferred for use by asset owners, engineering firms and installation contractors for key opportunities. They must work closely with the product management, marketing, product engineering and the sales teams to ensure revenue, margin and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Job Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and develop sales growth opportunities in the comm market with taking input from sales Directors and RSM's.
- Create strategy with timeline on strategy to influence the key contacts at the targeted accounts to ultimately position our products and solutions in a spec or preferred position
- Collaborate with strategic marketing to create effective collateral and value proposition driven marketing assets to promote our products and solutions
- Deliver value driven & technical presentations to asset owners, engineering firms, industry groups, and other influencers through multiple communication channels
- Partner with P&C sales team to deliver value added solutions to target growth customers in our existing market
- Develop and deliver trainig on product solutions to key internal stakeholders across P&C
- Synthesize market trends and customer insights to drive growth strategies in our target markets and assist in identifying new business opportunities and product adjacencies outside of the current customers & products.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or technical related field preferred or Equivalent Education from Comm Market
- 7+ years professional experience in technical sales & marketing, product management & engineering, and/or field application & engineering.
- Experience with infrastructure construction in the Communications market
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and managing multiple projects.
- Team player with effective interpersonal skills and an open, collaborative style.
- Effective cross functional collaborator who can balance external and internal objectives.
- High initiative and results driven; an entrepreneurial self-starter who operates with speed, simplicity, and passion to succeed.
- Strong planning and organization skills, execution oriented and process driven, focused on delivering results.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation communications skills
Work and Physical Requirements
- Office location for this position is Atlanta, GA. or remote/work from home in the territory of responsibility
- Ability to travel (overnight) as required based on business needs approximately 75% of annual time
- Must pass background check, alcohol and drug testing.
- The position may require work outside of normal business hours to achieve objectives & meet customer needs.
Work Environment
- Normal office working conditions in addition to occasional Oldcastle Infrastructure plant sites and construction sites require the usage of personal protective equipment, e.g., hard hat, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses. These are provided at Oldcastle Infrastructure plant sites.
