Position Overview
This position is responsible for pre-employment administrative functions of the human resources department for the Texas Region, supporting four (5) operating companies. Individual will work with the Regional HR Director, Human Resources Managers and other team members to maximize the efficiency of the department in support of the organizational goals and standards.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Assist with pre-employment hiring process, including coordination of pre-employment paperwork, background checks, drug screenings and making sure candidates are ready for orientation
- Coordinate with local HR once candidates have completed pre-employment to hand off for orientation
- Track candidate progression through the pre-employment process on an excel based reporting matrix
- Complete accurate new hire data forms to process new hires and other changes as needed upon completion of orientation
- Coordinate with medical provider to assist candidates with drug and physical assessment appointments
- Provide hands-on and granular level support to candidates completing pre-employment
- Maintain professional demeanor in dealing with critical/confidential information; restricts discussion/ knowledge of activity to a "need to know" basis
- Serve as back up for human resources staff on all human resources related matters
- Complete project work as assigned timely and efficiently
- Coordinate consolidation of pre-employment processes among four (5) operating companies in the Texas Region
- Attend University and local career fairs as necessary
- Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
- Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 1-3 years related experience in an office setting, performing administrative tasks, preferably within the human resources function
- Experience in a construction environment is preferred but not required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish languages is required.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Bilingual required
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work with Management
- Must be detailed oriented
- Strong problem-solving skills preferred
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to perform under deadline pressure
- Ability to understand and follow complex verbal and written instructions
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- High standard of ethics, integrity, and trust
Work Requirements
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be 18 years in age or older
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Able to safely drive a vehicle
- Regular required attendance and reporting ready to begin work at the designated start time
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as per company policy
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
- Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA
Physical Requirements

- May occasionally lift move/carry up to 10 lbs. and occasionally use exertion forces of pushing/pulling of up to 10 lbs
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects for extended periods of time
- Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus

- Tempo is fast paced with deadlines
- The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be moderate.
