About the role
We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Production Supervisor - Welding to join our Production team at our plant in Buggenhout, Belgium.
The role is responsible for organizing and monitoring all welding activities within the production department at the Buggenhout site considering planning, safety, quality, and related objectives.
Main responsibilities
In this role you'll:
- Ensure that SOP, quality plans and safety instructions are implemented.
- Regularly coach and develop your team leaders.
- Oversee production activities, to ensure safety, quality, and lead time.
- Provide continuous improvement in the workshop performances, develop action plans to reduce inefficiencies and waste.
- Train and onboard new employees with the support of FLL, evaluate their performance and give suggestions for their improvement.
- Maintain daily contact with those responsible in other departments within the organization.
Experience & qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- To be a driven team leader.
- The ability to deliver operational excellence.
- A strategic mindset with a drive for results & innovation.
- The acquired knowledge and experience to assess the knowhow and experience of the employees in welding production.
- To have experience of being successful in a coaching role in a technical environment.
- A knowledge of Cim and Office 365 Software
- To be bi-lingual in Dutch and French. A proficiency in English is desirable
