Job Title: Marketing Specialist Europe

Location: Clevedon, North Somerset

Type of Employment: Full Time, Permanent position

Responsible for: Coordinating the development and implementation of Hydro International's marketing activities

Physical & Other Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Passport
  • Ability to work and travel in Europe


Competence & Qualifications:
  • Multilingual. Specifically French and English fluent
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience in a core marketing discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years marketing, sales or business development proven ability, ideally in a related role in water, construction or related industry
  • An excellent understanding of marketing fundamentals such as value propositions, customer needs and market structure and drivers is essential.
  • Excellent ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, manage day-to-day relationships with internal and external partners and provide commercial support to our sales teams and channel partners.


Skills & Attributes:
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment, multi-task, and adapt to frequent change
  • Excellent communication skills and writing skills
  • Ability to think creatively and approach challenges pragmatically
  • Expertise in CRM and digital marketing platforms
  • Expertise in desktop publishing, graphic design and videography
  • Expertise in analytical tools, in particular Power BI
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision


Key Duties:

Time to be split with half spent supporting the Europe based business and half spent supporting the UK marketing activities. All activities and outputs to be in accordance with approved Hydro and/or CRH brand guidelines and approved technical product data and messaging.

Key activities can include:
  • Conduct or manage third-party market research activities for Europe.
  • Analyse regional markets, customers and competitors to be able to align and adjust product and portfolio positioning and messaging for drivers of specific countries / regions in Europe
  • Analyse results of marketing activities to determine campaign effectiveness and inform further marketing objectives.
  • Lead development for the Europe regions using Lead Forensics, planning portal, tender websites.
  • Use, maintain and update the CE system, particularly to run events, develop and run customer nurtures/journeys for Europe, all in accordance with GDPR.
  • Plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate marketing campaigns and activities in Europe.
  • Create, translate and adapt marketing collateral (e.g. news articles, marketing literature and social posts, blogs etc.) for European countries / regions in line with product and company messaging, and brand guidelines.
  • Create, edit and upload content to the company website, including marketing literature, news articles, events and photos
  • To work with the Marketing Manager UK to create social media plans for the UK and Europe and assist in creating and collating content, including photography, video, blogs and articles.
  • To run sponsored social media advertising for specific campaigns as needed.
  • Support local Sales teams with sales enablement materials, information and training.
  • Report regularly on marketing campaign and KPI performance
  • To work with the Marketing and Europe teams to organise, support and administer events in the UK and Europe.
  • Co -ordinate the media data and administration of press release placement, liaising with relevant journals in Europe.
  • Liaising with the Europe Hydro team and distributors to find relevant projects that would make good case studies.
  • To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act and apply the requirements of ISO45001.
  • To apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and 14001 as appropriate within the areas of responsibility.
  • Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
