What You Will Do...

As the Northwest Region Contract Compliance Specialist, you will:

  • Serve as the key resource for managing vendor contracts and compliance for 11 operating companies across WA, OR, ID, and CA.
  • Mitigate risk by ensuring company and vendor compliance with all legal, financial, safety, insurance, and other requirements.
  • Manage the accurate and timely onboarding of suppliers, including the review and approval of all compliance documents.

Location: This is an on-site role that can be based out of either Spokane Valley, WA or Rathdrum, ID, and may require infrequent travel to other locations throughout the region.

What You Can Do (Qualifications)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 2 years of related experience/trainingincluding exceptional attention to detail and organization skills (ex: regulatory/compliance, accounting, dispatch, legal, and other highly detailed and organized environments)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate problems clearly and concisely by collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and the ability to hold and conduct meetings
  • The ability to read and understand various documents such as guidelines, policy and procedure manuals, and safety rules
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite and PC applications, including the ability to build and use spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including building rapport, active listening, presenting, and giving/receiving feedback
  • High standards of ethics, integrity, and trust, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, being detail and action-oriented with excellent organizational skills and a drive for results
  • Willingness to travel to site locations occasionally
  • Valid drivers license, current authorization to work in the United States and the ability to pass pre-employment controlled-substance testing


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a construction, logistics and/or manufacturing industry
  • A general understanding of basic accounting principles


Work Requirements:
  • This position has been identified by the employer as non-safety sensitive and will be subject to an employer-required pre-employment drug screening that does not include testing for nonpsychoactive cannabis metabolites

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Partner with business operating entities to deliver process and control enhancements to promote best practices in relation to contract compliance documents and processes.
  • Manage new and existing vendor liability insurance, auto insurance, workers compensation, OHSA, safety, master service agreements, etc.
  • Verify insurance with agents as needed.
  • Meet information requests of both external and internal auditors.
  • Perform internal audits on the vendors.
  • Proactively follow up on expiring insurance documents to ensure vendors stay compliant.
  • Guide vendors on proper documentation and provide consultation as needed.
  • Vendor onboarding for acquisitions.
  • Rebranding of vendors for acquisitions including updating company name, contact information, shipping address, billing address, and completion of credit applications.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  • Partner with NW Region Contract Administrators to facilitate contract compliance process.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
